How Coordinated Care approaches privacy, moderation, reliability, and non-HIPAA v1 limits.

Coordinated Care is not an emergency service, medical device, clinical record system, or HIPAA-compliant service in this v1 launch. Do not use it for urgent care, emergency decisions, diagnosis, treatment instructions, or regulated medical records.

Private-link model

Care pages are intentionally easy for visitors to use. The private link is the visitor access key, so admins should share it thoughtfully.

Admins can rotate the private link from the admin page. Old visitor links stop working after rotation.

Reports and admin review

Notes, needs, photos, and care-log entries can be reported from the shared page. Reports appear on the admin page for triage.

Admins should remove content that exposes private information, gives unsafe medical advice, appears abusive, or does not belong on the care page.

Operational posture

Production deployments should use custom SMTP for magic links, hosted Supabase backups, error monitoring, uptime checks, and the scheduled purge function for deleted care pages.

The app records key sensitive actions in an audit trail so families can understand changes like member updates, share-link rotation, data exports, and account deletion.
